I spotted this LC heading north on 495, somewhere between Tyson’s Corner and the Potomac River. You might be thinking, “wow, there’s so much empty space in what presumably is DC area rush hour traffic,” alas, this was but a momentary gap that formed.
One nice thing about the highways around DC is they’re surrounded by lush trees. So at least for a good part of the year you have nice scenery while sitting in crushing traffic.

I saw one in Grosse Pointe a couple of weeks ago. ‘round back I thought it wasn’t bad, but as I passed it I saw it had been ruined by the Lexus “styling” theme and did a Peter Griffin “awwww.....”

ORLG and I stopped and saw one in a parking lot in Nashville. He got to rev it. We loved it.

I don’t mind the Lexus predator theme as much on a car like the LC that’s supposed to be a little wacky and attention-grabbing.

I took the job in Tyson’s. Getting there from Rockville in the morning isn’t too bad but heading home in the evening is pretty rough. Oddly enough I actually sorta kinda enjoy fighting my way through traffic but the evening drives can definitely be a slog.
I’m definitely enjoying living in Rockville, it’s a lot more built up and developed compared to when I was a kid, and even though I visited my parents plenty over the years I didn’t really get a sense of the scope of it.

That’s how my commute was from Alexandria to Greenbelt. I actually enjoyed the 30 minute morning blast - it was the perfect amount of time to clear my head and get ready for the day. The ride home would, at times, make me feel like crying. The longest it ever took was 2.5 hours and it was then that I gave up. My current commute took me 16 minutes this morning and will probably take about 24 minutes tonight.
Glad you’re enjoying the area (again). I am just happy it’s boating season again. Time to get back out on the water. Have fun!

Yeah, that route is the worst. When I was recently interviewing there were two areas that were definite no’s: Rockville and Tyson’s. Books on tape!
